Why You Need a Summer Giving Plan

Summer sunIf you want to fully fund your missions and ministry initiatives then you need to understand why you need a summer giving plan.  What amazes me continually is that right now churches are working on plans for summer missions, summer camps, summer Vacation Bible Schools and a host of other summer programs.  All that planning and yet there is little to no plans about how to fund those wonderful programs.

Few if any are asking the question, Can we afford this?  One reason why is most church staff members confuse the fact that if something is on the calendar and in the budget it must happen.  Simply because it is in the budget does not mean it is in the bank!

Don’t fret I have done the planning for you and you can get in on that by attending my webinar on April 2nd.  https://www1.gotomeeting.com/register/261123529?utm_content=bufferfa64d&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=buffer

Why You Need a Summer Giving Plan - Here are my major reasons for why you and your church need a summer giving plan.

1.  Summer is typically the worst time of the year for giving.  Just look back at your giving records.  You will find that summer is always a challenging time for donations.  So, why would you not plan for that with a program that could enhance summer giving?

2.  Summer is typically the busiest most costly time of the year in terms of your budget.  Most churches have their largest budget items in terms of missions and ministry during the summer.  Wouldn’t make sense to have a plan in place to fully fund all those wonderful and needed events?

3.  The first quarter of 2014 has been one of the worst in terms of giving as a result of the weather.  My guess is that you are already behind budget.  Now you are going into one of your heaviest ministry times of the year behind.  If you are to fully fund all your budget needs it is essential that you not fall further behind.  So, you had better have a plan of action.

4.  What doesn’t get planned for doesn’t get done!  It is simply a reality that if you have not planned for something it typically does not happen.  Without some kind of plan your summer giving will add to the decline you are already experiencing.  Some churches by July will be making tough budget cut decisions.  Don’t be one of those churches!

Come on man, get a plan!  On April 2nd at 2 PM EST I am going to be sharing in a free webinar key thoughts about planning for summer giving.  You will have a chance to get my plan that has proven principles and tools that will lead to your church being fully funded!  To register go here https://www1.gotomeeting.com/register/261123529?utm_content=bufferfa64d&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=buffer
